梅雨時の土曜日、大阪の清教学園中・高等学校の生徒のみなさんが、先生方とともに情報学環を訪問、オープンスタジオにやって来られました。同校情報科教諭で、長く日本の情報教育分野でリーダーシップを取ってこられた田邊則彦先生から、以前より交流があった水越伸に依頼があったのでした。
　水越はまず、大学院とはどういうところなのか、情報学環・学際情報学府の特徴などについて短い講義をしました。次に、特任助教の会田大也氏が、自らが取り組んできた「コロガル公園」というプロジェクトを紹介し、学際的な研究や社会実践の魅力を語りました。
　その後、生徒のみなさんや先生方と活発な質疑応答をおこないました。
　わずか1時間くらいの訪問でしたが、水越、会田氏は今どきの高校生がどれだけしっかりしているかを改めて知らされた次第です。

In a rainy Saturday afternoon of June 16, 34 high school students and 3 teachers of the Seikyo Gakuen secondary school in Osaka visited the Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies/Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies, and came to the Open Studio. Mr. Norihiko Tanabe, one of leading teachers of the information education field in Japan and a teacher of information studies of the Seikyo Gakuen requested Prof. Shin Mizukoshi for giving his students an opportunity to feel the atmosphere of the interdisciplinary research and education.
After Mizukoshi’s overview of the III/GSII, Project-Assistant Prof. Daiya Aida briefly introduced his own art project for children: “Korogaru Koen (Rolling Park)” as one example of interdisciplinary and social engagement art. In the latter part of the visit, they all had an active discussion.
